Economic Reforms in the Australian Agricultural Sector - Samples

Question: Discuss about the Economic Reforms in the Australian Agricultural Sector. Answer: Due to effective government reforms and policy terms, Australian agricultural sector has become the biggest contributor towards GDP growth in 2017. According to the report published by the Australian Bureau of Agriculture and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES), the entire value of the Australian agriculture industry will set to break another record in 2017-18, registering a whopping figure at $ 63.8 billion. According to the prediction of ABARES, the overall outlook of the farm production in the country will be eased up in the upcoming three years. However, the gross value of the industry will be reduced to $ 59.6 billion in 2020-21 (Vidot, 2017). In the selected article, Vidot (2017) admitted that the solid growth in the last three years cannot be taken over at least for the next five years. In the meanwhile, the production outlook for the Australian farm sector is not a worry for the next five years. Evidently, a slowing economic condition in China, directionless US policies, and geo-political tensions within the Eurozone nations have created some leading headwinds on the global trade horizon. Currently, the entire value of the firm export in Australia has set to reach a record high of $ 48.7 billion. Conversely, unpredictable global signs can hinder the growth of the Australian agriculture sector (Connolly and Gustafsson, 2013). In terms of global perspective, plentiful of supply of wheat has been expected to contribute towards the low price of the agricultural commodity. As per the report of ABARES, the production of barley and wheat will get a massive push due the exceptional agricultural season forcing the production up by 20 percent in 2016-17 to $33.9 billion (Vidot, 2017). On the other hand, the economic reforms introduced by the Australian Government can be identified as other primary factors supporting the growth of agricultural production in the economy. For example, the Australian government provides subsidies and educational trainings to the farmers in order to increase production in the nation (Foster, 2015). Agricultural subsidies are provided to the farmers in terms of direct payment and tax reliefs to promote production in the market that will help the agricultural industry to contribute a higher proportion in the GDP of the nation (Sheng, Jackson and Gooday, 2015). However, it is important to note that the agricultural subsidies provided by the Australian Government are comparatively lower than any other country (Dastagiri, 2013). On the other hand, in the year 2015-16, the agricultural sector of Australia contributed around 2.2 percent of the total GDP of the nation that is expected to increase in the upcoming financial years. A figure has been presented herein below to understand the contribution of different sectors in the total GDP of Australia: It can be seen from the statistical data of Australian Bureau of Statistics that the agricultural production in Australia has continuously increased in the recent years. Currently, the statistics of Australias GDP from agriculture industry have been represented in the underlying figure. Since the last quarter of 2016, the GDP from firm sector has increased at a substantial rate. In the last three quarters, the contribution of the agricultural sector was evident, to say the least. Precisely, in the first two quarter in 2017, the Australian agricultural industry has contributed AU$ 10980 million and AU$ 10369 million respectively (Abs.gov.au, 2017). Since 2014, the figures of GDP from the firm sector in Australia have been the highest in 2017. Furthermore, in the next financial year, the productions, as well as the export of wheat and barley, have been expected to fall due to the overall supply of these agricultural commodities around the globe. Hence, it has been a major challenge for the Australian Government to maintain the current growth of the agricultural industry. On the other hand, global rebound in the dairy market has been another positive sign for the Australian counterparts. By considering the existing scenario of the farming sector in Australia, the role of agricultural reforms, and government subsidiaries and policies has been outstanding for the growth of the industry over the last three years. At the same point of time, the rapid growth in the agricultural industry was driven by improved export and global demand of the agricultural commodities (Nadezda, Dusan and Stefania, 2017). However, the recent global condition and market competition have produced substantial challenges for the industry (Swinnen, 2016). In order to meet the targeted figures, the Australian Government need to introduce educational and training schemes for the farmers to make them teach how to use better technology to seek competitive advantage in the market. On the other hand, the State Government needs to take care of the middlemens share of profit in order to maintain stability in the price of the agricultural commodities (Headey, Alauddin and Rao, 2015). Additionally, it has been expected that the Australian government will stick to their decision of not providing any sort of subsidies on agricultural exports. However, subsidies can be provided for increasing production for the domestic customers to meet the current and growing demand of the Australian economy (Vidot, 2017). Subsidies in the form of technological knowledge and support can be provided to the farmers. Alternatively, low interest rate loans can be provided with loan repayment wavers in case of draught to safeguard and improve the current production c apabilities of the Australian agricultural sector. By considering the above analysis, it can be seen that the economic reforms made by the Australian Government has been the primary reason for the significant rise in the production level of the Agricultural sector. Additionally, the Government of Australia supports the farmers through low credit rate policy and technological advancement policies to meet the production targets of the agricultural industry. Furthermore, the government rolled back the subsidy policy for agricultural exports to increase the availability of agricultural commodities in the domestic market. Hence, it can be seen from the study that the Australian Government has made necessary economic reforms to maintain stability in the agricultural sector and seek highest level of growth in the last three years. Characteristics of a Filipino Citizen Essay Essay Example

Characteristics of a Filipino Citizen Essay Essay Example Characteristics of a Filipino Citizen Essay Paper Characteristics of a Filipino Citizen Essay Paper The Filipinos are friendly because we have a assurance with our endowment. We Filipinos are stating salutations like â€Å"hi† or â€Å"hello† to other people. And I choose the negative trait Undisciplined because I agree with its trait. Why? Because when we say train it is making what is right at the right clip. The ground why they are stating we are friendly that is because we are happy. When we are happy. we are in a good temper so that they can near us easy. Another ground why we are friendly. it is because we want many friends. non merely friends but existent friends. But choose the friends who are good influence to you. I choose this trait because I am besides a friendly Filipino. I want to hold many friends. so that when I’m in the thick of problem I have many existent friends to assist me. In felicity. solitariness and depression. I choose Undisciplined as a negative trait. Although it is negative trait but there is no uncertainty about it. In this coevals. we have many appliances that distract us for making what we should make in that clip. Therefore we are doing merriment of the appliances today. Filipinos are friendly. The cogent evidence of this trait are In my first twenty-four hours of the school I don’t have any friends in personal. merely in Facebook. I have a seatmate. we don’t approach each one. It’s like both of us are waiting to inquire his name. few proceedingss I ask his name so he answered so we are now friends. We besides asked the name of his seatmate. The undermentioned yearss. his friend and my friends are now friends. We have many friends. I think this trait comes merely in our civilization. It doesn’t come on other state. And we Filipinos are hospitable so that the other states comment that we are friendly. Merely in the Philippines who are hospitable. Filipinos are undisciplined. In our coevals. we have many appliances we have many amusement things. We forgot our things that we should make. I experience this and besides I am sing it nowadays. I have an assignment to make. so the telecasting is on. There is a beautiful films. so after that film there is another beautiful film. I that instance. we have a inclination to blow the clip for the assignment. Another illustration. we have an assignment. Then the meeting clip is 9am crisp. you arrived at that place 10am. That is undisciplined Filipino. We are lazy. it came from the Spaniards. The direction is to compose in the notebook. Then you merely take a image or captured it. My point is that we have to recognize. What are Filipinos like? Where we came from? Where did we acquire that attitude? How can be a originative in our states. I imagine if we colonize other state. we portion our traits to them. I realized that our other attitude came from different state. In our state. we have a originality. Like being polite to seniors. By stating â€Å"po† and â€Å"opo† . You say â€Å"opo† and â€Å"po† in your parents. grandmother. grandfather. Tito. tita. elder brother. senior sister. aliens. By being hospitable. when we have visitants we rapidly help them. by giving nutrient. merianda. We pretend to be happy. even if we have major jobs. Like when there is a catastrophe. we are ever happy. All I can state is we Filipinos are alone race. We are different in other state. We have a alone sense of wit merely in the Philippines. Filipinos over the old ages have proven clip and clip once more that they are a people with an hardworking attitude. This is seen by others as Filipinos being merely utile as domestic assistants. working abroad to assist their households in the state. Like the husbandmans in our state. they use at that place ain power. Unlike in other state they us machines to do some â€Å"palay† . Even with small support. technological failings and the country’s seasonal typhoons. the Filipino husbandman still work hard to gain their day-to-day repast. We. Filipinos are besides spiritual in our beliefs peculiarly in Catholicism and Islam. Families would beef up and promote their kids to go to merely one time a hebdomad in the mass at the same clip we have a household bonding and beef up out relationship in each member of the household. And in conclusion Filipinos are honest in there behaviors. In general. they would prefer to work hard for an honorable day’s wage than to happen an easier manner like stealing or rip offing.

Turner Thesis essays

Turner Thesis essays Fredrick Jackson Turner developed the thesis that the American West created and reinforced the American ideals of: equality, democracy, opportunity, and individualism. I disagree with Turners thesis and feel that the American West created just the opposite. It created a period of inopportunity and inequality especially between the rich and the poor classes of the time period. There are many things to show that Turners thesis was off beam. The Homestead Act was one such thing. This act gave every person who wanted it the opportunity to take free land. However, the government gave more plots of land to important people that they did to ordinary people. Also, land speculators snatched up big portions of land and held on to them so that they could sell them for profit at a later time. This left the ordinary people with much less land to live on and much less opportunity. This shows inequality between the different classes of this time period. Another thing to show inequality between the different classes in the period of 1865 to 1900 was the new version of the reaper invented by Cyrus McCormick. This was expensive and not all could afford it, once again showing unequal opportunity. This led to a disadvantage for the poorer folk and left them with much more labor. The people who could afford this reaper profited more than those who didnt, thus showing inequality between the rich and poor. A final example that showed how Turners thesis was erroneous was the Sand Creek Massacre. Seven hundred Colorado drunkards marched their way to the Indians fort and started to maim and mutilate them. They ended up killing a lot of Indians. This is obviously unequal treatment between the whites and the Indians. The whites could freely kill Indians on a whim without any punishment. Indians were forced to leave their lands, move onto reservations, and flee their homelands. In essence, Native America...

Business Law Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words - 4

Business Law - Assignment Example If so, what was the condition of the offer and who was to claim it? It has always been assumed that a notice like that goes all the way to the world and anybody can claim it so long as the terms are met. This is similar to the case of Carlill and Carbolic Smoke Ball Company (1893) 1 QB256. The claimant after meeting all the conditions put fore by Carbolic Smoke Ball Company was being denied the claim by the company. This attracted the intervention of the court which rewarded her claim. According to the law of contracts, an offer is simply an expression of willingness and ability to contract on given specific terms. It can be written oral or both. The offer can also be unilateral or bilateral, the latter mostly being in commercial businesses. In the case of Leila vs. Julie, the offer was unilateral since the former had in one of the dailies, printed a notice of the same targeting the whole public (Bouvier, 1856). The clear message was that whoever came across and returned the gold locket and the chain previously lost was to be rewarded $ 50. In a unilateral contract, once the offeror makes a promise in exchange of an act by another person, if this other person acts on the offerer’s promise then the latter is obligated to fulfill the promise (Austen-Baker, 2002). The ideal condition is that the information about the reward must have been in the knowledge of the offferee before presenting his actions. In this case, Julie was knowledgeable of the information about the reward for the return made by Leila. Whichever form of communication/ notification she chose, it was within the context.
